The Grand Lodge of Texas held its Annual Communication Wednesday, 3rd December through the 6th December, 2014.  Several members of Keller Masonic Lodge attended this years Annual Communication, with the majority driving down on Saturday morning to attend the 64th Masonic District's Annual breakfast held at George's Restaurant, in which the majority of the current Grand Lodge Officers attend, as well as past Grand Masters, in addition to basically the who's who of Freemasonry in Tarrant County.  After the breakfast, everyone headed to the Grand Lodge of Texas for the remainder of the day's events.  We took a quick tour of the museum before the morning session started. After the morning sessions, we broke for lunch, where some of us visited Jasper's BBQ.   After lunch, the elections of officers was held, and then the installation of officers was held.  Keller Masonic Lodge's Treasurer Max Billington was installed as one of the new 2015 (DDGM's) - District Deputy Grand Master for the 64th Masonic District.  Proud of you Max!

Keller Masonic Lodge No. 1084 2014 Past Masters Banquet

The 2014 Keller Masonic Lodge Past Masters Banquet took place today at the Keller Lion's Club located at 532 E. Keller Parkway.  There was about 25 Keller Lodge members and visitors in attendance, which included 4 Past Masters and 1 current Worshipful Master.  Visiting brother Gary Alexander from Richland Hills Lodge was the featured speaker and gave a great presentation on Practical Freemasonry.   He also spoke on the origins of modern day freemasonry and how so many things we take for granted in today's society, like oh, DEMOCRACY, and time off from work for the Holidays, to name a couple, can trace it roots and origins back to freemasonry.  The food was a pot luck style, with the main dish being graciously smoked by one of Keller Lodge's members, Daryl, which included pulled pork, smoked chicken breast and drumsticks.  It was delicious.
