Moslah Shrine Rays of Hope Gala - 1st Annual Benefit Concert & Bike Ride:
Moslah Shrine held its 1st Annual Benefit Concert and Bike Ride Benefiting Shriners Hospital for Children in Texas was held 31st of May, 2014 at Adam Smith's Texas Harley in Bedford, Texas. The bike ride started Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at visited each of the Boomer Jack's locations here in Tarrant County, starting with the one in Bedford, then proceeded to the one in Arlington, then the one located at Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth, then finally to the newest location off I-35 and Western Center in Fort Worth, then returned to Adam Smith's Texas Harley in Bedford. Adam Smith's Texas Harley and Boomer Jack's were two of the main sponsors for the benefit concert.
In an effort to cut down on cost and raise more money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Texas, The Benefit Concert & Bike Ride was held in replacement of the original black tie Rays of Hope Gala, that used to held in downtown Fort Worth at the Worthington Hotel or Hilton Hotel.
After the bike ride a benefit concert was held Saturday afternoon with several Texas Music Scene Singer/Songwriter groups, including Waylon Pierce, Skooter Hall, and the headliner was Cooder Graw. Also performing was former 3rd Season X Factor semi-finalist Rion Paige, who also happens to be a Shriners Hospital for Children patient out of Tampa Bay, Florida.
It was a hot day, but the food was awesome, probably one of the best burgers I've ever had at an outdoor event like this, thanks Boomer Jack's, and the beer was cold! Raffle tickets were sold for several months leading up to the event and the Raffle drawing was held at the benefit concert. Items that were raffled off, included: a Big Screen TV, an iPad Mini, a $500 Gift Card, a Large Big Green Egg, and the Grand Prize; a Harley Davidson Street Glide.
In attendance was the Mayor for the City of Bedford, as well as the Moslah Divan, Potentate, and many nobles, and guest, and people from the community. Make plans now to attend next year benefit concert
